Laboratory of Lung Inflammation and Host Defense

We study respiratory-tract innervating neurons, inflammation and host immune responses to understand the pathogenesis of lung diseases. Our research lies at the interface of immunology, neuroscience and microbiology. The overall goal of our research is to understand how neurons regulate the host defense and immunopathology during respiratory infection and lung inflammation.
